Life of a father...‏

Hello to everyone out there in the civilized world! Out here in La Jutosa, we are climbing up mountains and cutting corn to help out some aged men. It was all great fun, but quite tiring. But, for that, I am VERY pressed on time right now!

So, some quick updates:

We have done quite a lot of finding new people, especially families to teach. Specifically, we have the Rapalo family. They are a sweet older couple who are very interested in learning more about the gospel. They came to church yesterday and really enjoyed it. Turns out that La Jutosa was on FIRE with all the testimonies that were shared! We had pretty much the whole congregation share their testimony and I really think it helped out our recent converts and investigators that were present. They mentioned how they wanted to come back next week as well!

We spent a lot of time on this mountain last week. There are a lot of people, and some are actually quite interested! Oscar Sorto invited us to his house out in the mountains, and we showed up...but it was a little late. When we left...well...it was already dark! The sun had gone down, and we had to trek the mountain path in the dark. It was all in good taste...nothing bad happened, nor did we get hurt. We just enjoyed the time to get to know each other better in the dark! A pretty interesting experience, haha.

Also, Kevin, the guy who is living with an investigator, all of a sudden showed up one day, and we spent a good hour talking with him. He is actually super interested, but just a busy guy. He really liked the Book of Mormon and the idea of getting married to Gabby, so we shall see what happens there!

It also rained a lot this week and we had to fight against a HUGE party that happened out here. It was just ridiculous! Out here in this country-bumpkin place they brought a giant Ferris wheel, mini roller coasters, food stands of all kinds, giant dance floors, bands from San Pedro Sula...it was RIDICULOUS! It also was happening quite far from our house and we could still hear all of it.

Anyway...I feel bad for cutting out so short and so unorganized, but we gotta get going! So, I wish you all all my love and everything! Have a good week!
